I am the only daughter of cartoonist Chandi Lahiri and batik artist Tapati Lahiri. I live in Calcutta, India with my parents and three stray dogs. After my schooling from Loreto and graduation in History from Presidency College, Calcutta, I did my post graduation from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication from University of Calcutta. Although I am a Commuications Teacher by profession, but I make intricate works of Indian Paper Filigrees which I execute with finesse and dedication. This passion of mine is my first love. I have had four solo exhibitions already which have been well accepted by art critics and viewers alike. My artworks are travelling in U.S.A., France and Australia. I have also won international awards for them.
